Fighting Fish
There over a thousand ways to lose a fish and
only a few methods to land them.
Timothy Kusherets
In the above photographs are three examples of fighting fish.
Three different waterways, species, and gear to fight them; all
of them had universal qualities that can be anticipated even if
fish are many times larger than the test capabilities of the fishing
line.
Fighting fish is but a single step to having a successful
day of fishing. Hooking into fish over and over again means nothing
if you can’t bring it to the net, tail, or beach it. Hook-setting,
fighting, landing, releasing, preparing for storage or consumption
are all intertwined with each other and all of which have absolutely
nothing to do with luck. Luck is a four letter word that should be
as foul to utter as any other four-lettered curse word. Don’t
take a chance of losing a hard fought fish. Learn what it takes to
fight them correctly and land them without a solitary threat of losing
it. There over a thousand ways to lose a fish and only a few methods
to landing them. The literature that I write about takes out all the
risk and enhances the fun meant to be experienced by all anglers in
fresh and saltwater environments.
